New Domain name

Ok everyone, I didn't give anyone much time to change their links to my blog, but I did send everyone a personalized email with the new URL.

However, there is a problem. I have noticed the "Google Friend Connect" has been discontinued as of March 1st, and I cannot add it to my blog. So, in order to be a faithful follower as usual, you'll have to subscribe to RSS, which I believe will show my blog posts in a Google reader.

I've even tried to re-add the "Followers" gadget on my blog, but for some reason I'm getting this message:

"We're sorry... This gadget is configured incorrectly. Webmaster hint: Please ensure that "Friend Connect Settings - Home URL" matches the URL of this site."

I've spent almost 2 hours trying to figure this out. Because they've discontinued the Friend Connect, no matter how many times I try to connect to that website, it won't let me. It redirects me to Google Blogger help. Grrrr. It's so frustrating.

If anyone is technological savvy and can help me find another way to show my followers, I'd love to hear from you!

Blog URL is Changing Today, April 3rd

Ok valued Curious Little Bird blog readers, it's time! I know I said I'd be switching over the URL of my blog in May, but I want to promote my new store on Big Cartel now. So starting today, Tuesday, April 3rd, my blog will be http://www.curiouslittlebird-blog.ca Please make sure you change your Google Readers to that, and I would really love it if you could all continue to follow me with the new URL.

As of today (Tuesday), www.curiouslittlebird.ca will go directly to Big Cartel. If perhaps you don't change your link on time, it's highly possible that either you'll get a "this page does not exist" message, or you will be redirected to my shop. But don't worry, because there's a link in my store to my blog.

I honestly don't know what will happen, as I've never had to change a blog because someone moved.

If you have any questions, please post them! But the new URL should be in effect tomorrow which is Wednesday, April 4rd, 2012. (new information from the CIRA saying that the URL takes 24 hours to take effect on the web).

Blog URL will be changing...

In less than 2 months my www.curiouslittlebird.ca URL will be expiring, and when I renew it, I will be removing it from the blog, and reinstating my blogspot URL which is melanieaudet.blogspot.com. My store on Big Cartel will be taking over the curiouslittlebird.ca URL, so all of you who follow this blog, or have the feed in Google Reader, please take note that you will have to re-follow me when the URL changes, and you'll have to change your feeds.

Don't worry though, it won't happen until May, and when it gets closer to the date, I'll let you know again.

I simply wanted to warn you all in advance. If you would like to start now, the regular URL is http://www.melanieaudet.blogspot.com  You can change your google readers to that link, and it'll redirect you.
