Shop local, shop handmade

It's that time of year again to remind all my Montreal, Canadian, and any other followers reading my blog, to shop handmade, and locally.

Shopping locally benefits all. The person buying the locally made product is helping the independent artist to support themselves and pay the bills so they can continue to make their stuff. The buyer benefits by supporting the local economy, which is always a good thing. Keeping the money inside the city/province/state/country is always better than shopping at some large corporation like Target that does NOT support our local community. This infographic can explain it all:

Did you know, that when you shop with local merchants, more of your money stays close to home; supporting the parks, recreation centres, libraries and other things that make this community a great place to live??

As an independent, Montreal-based local business, I encourage you to come on by either via my online shop or else the 2 upcoming events I'll be attending this weekend! You can learn more about them here:

Ahuntsic school Holiday Craft fair    and   Old Skool Crafts presents Winter Fairs of the Artisan Elves 1 & 2

I hope to see you there!!! And happy holidays to everyone!!
