Big Red rides the cat for fun

On a regular, normal day, the monsters live in either plastic bags or suitcases. And on these regular days, they're more than content to do so, but on occasion a monster will get bored, and want some more excitement in his/her life than to simply be adopted. This is the very short story of one such monster named Big Red, and how he tried to have fun!

Out of nowhere the sneaky red monster escapes the suitcases he normally lives in, jumps up on the couch, and sees this silver tabby sleeping. He hops on top of his back and shouts, "Hey cat! Giddy up, won't you!?"

Littleone, waken from this unknown weight on his back looks left and right. Remembering when Peach had tied herself to the cat but a few days ago, Littleone continued to shake his head saying, "Nooooooo!"

Poor Big Red. He was only trying to have a little fun. Maybe next time Littleone will be in a better mood.

Curious Little Bird holiday shopping update!

Hello!! There are 12 days left to get a monster before Christmas! For those of you living in Europe, Asia, etc., you have 11 days starting today to purchase a monster and have it shipped in time for Christmas.

Please don't wait until the last minute (December 2nd)! If I get bombarded with 20 last minute orders, I may not be able to get them to you on time.

For those of you who purchase a monster AFTER December 2nd may contact me via shop[at]curiouslittlebird[dot]ca to arrange a 2nd payment for expedited shipping, otherwise all orders placed starting December 3rd will be shipped off on January 5th.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. :)

Sully helps out with the laundry

Its Monday, and it's an unofficial day off to clean house. It was high time I did my laundry, and Sully decided he wanted to help. But you know, it's hard being a monster laundry helper, when you don't have arms. So Sully has to use his horns to get the clothes in. What a little sweetie.

Leopold gets adopted by a little girl

At the weekend fair Salon de L'Enfance, this little girl totally fell in love with the bearded monsters. She ended up going home with Leopold. There's a friend for life!

Pinky goes to a business meeting

"Hi Pinky, how are you today?"

"Oh, you know, I'm okay, but Melanie could use some help growing her online presence."

"Is that so? Well I have a suggestion for her."

"Ok, let's hear it!"

"You should take photos of yourself and all your furry monster friends, in fun situations."

"Oh! That's a great idea! Thanks Doug!"

"You're welcome. I hope this will help your customers to interact with you, your products, and even inspire them to post their own situational photos with their own Curious Little Bird monsters."

"Great! Let me just use your computer for just one second....."

"Hey!! Hellooooo? Can I be part of this photo project, too?"

*VERY IMPORTANT* 2013 Holiday Season Shipping Information!

As you all know, the holiday season is fast approaching, and with Christmas coming soon, I need to make sure that everyone knows my shipping policies for 2013.

My shops will stay open all through the holiday season, but please keep in mind that any order put in AFTER December 2nd, will NOT be shipped until AFTER January 5th. The reason for this is that my items are usually made to order, which means they aren't ready to ship, and can take up to 3 days to be made before they are sent in the mail. The US shipping deadlines end on December 10th, but international orders end on December 2nd. It's for this specific reason I have put a shipping deadline for all holiday orders.

Let me give you a for instance....

You live in the United States, it's December 12th, and you want 2 monsters for your kids. You want to get them before Dec 24th, so you can put them under the tree. You buy them on Dec 12, pay regular postage, but I can't ship them until Dec 15th at the earliest because I have a 'will ship in 1-3 days' policy. However, Dec 15 is a Sunday, and no postage goes out. The package doesn't get picked up until Monday Dec 16. But there's a problem...  Parcels sent as regular mail have a Christmas deadline of Dec 10, and you will be receiving your package most likely in January due to the post office's overwhelming packages they have to sort.

I would love for everyone to get their monster on time for that special day. It's for that reason I suggest shopping early! If you order in the next 2 weeks, I can almost guarantee you'll get your monster on time! ;)

Thanks for your understanding!

Happy Holidays!!
